FICHET and the Texas International Education Consortium Establish Preferred Partnership

The Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET) and the Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) have established a Preferred Partnership to promote collaboration and exchange between higher education institutions in Taiwan and Texas.Representing FICHET, Executive Director Prof. Tzu-Bin Lin and TIEC’s Global Membership Specialist Mr. Antoine Battle signed the agreement on March 26, 2025, during the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference. The Preferred Partnership aims to create more opportunities for collaboration, enhance the quality of education, and foster cross-cultural understanding between the two sides.
Established in 1985, the Texas International Education Consortium comprises 40 member institutions, including major university systems such as The University of Texas System, Texas A&M University System, Texas Tech University System, Texas State University System, University of Houston System, University of North Texas System, Texas Woman’s University System, as well as private institutions and community colleges across the state of Texas.
