2019 Staff Development Workshop Ends Successfully

The 2019 Staff Development Workshop, hosted by Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET), was held at GIS Taipei Tech Convention Center on August 29. The one day workshop brought together more than one hundred participants from over 60 universities.
The conference opened with the welcoming remarks from Director General Andy Cheu-An Bi, Department of International and Cross-strait Education, Ministry of Education, and Chairperson Huey-Jen Su from FICHET. The discussion topics include:
- Overview of Laws and Regulations for Academic Collaboration
- Building Key Professional Skills in International Education
- Professional Development: Learning While Working
- Developing and Managing Strategic Partnerships: Things You Need to Know
- Multi-Channel Marketing: Social Media, Short Film, Marketing Material
- Intercultural Training and Communication Strategies
- The Revival of Ristekdikti Scholarship
The workshop offered opportunities to develop skills in intercultural communication and a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences. Also it allows participants to build up their networking.
