1. To enhance the professional growth and exchange of experience among college and university international affairs personnel, and to facilitate high-quality international higher education cooperation and exchanges in Taiwan, the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education Taiwan (FICHET) will hold the “2022 University and College International Administrator Development Workshop” on August 19 at the National Chengchi University Public Enterprise Center.

2. The workshop brings together representatives from relevant government ministries and agencies to provide an in-depth understanding of the government’s policies for promoting the internationalization of higher education. Dr. Michael Ching-Long Lu, Former Ambassador in France will provide the keynote address, focused on how various aspects of Taiwan’s culture and soft power can be effectively used to develop opportunities for cooperation and deepen bilateral ties to attract young people from around the world to study in Taiwan. The workshop also brings together senior international affairs staffers from various schools to share their experience and lead discussions on best practices for the development and implementation of international cooperation strategies, school brand marketing, guidance for overseas student , the staging of short courses in Chinese and English language learning. 3. Registration is open through July 29 (Friday). Attendance will be capped at 120, with a maximum of two attending from each school.
