About
  The Indonesia Taiwan Education Center in Surabaya (TECSID) was established by Asia University (AU), Taiwan, in collaboration with AU’s sister university, China Medical University (CMU) under the auspice of the Ministry of Education, Taiwan, to promote the government’s new southbound policy in bilateral talent cultivation and industry linkage in coordination with ASEAN and South Asian countries. TECSID has been created as a platform to connect universities in Taiwan and Indonesia and thus enhance mutual understanding educationally, socially and culturally and to achieve prosperity by enriching and empowering each other. TECSID focuses on ASEAN and South Asian countries to achieve the above-mentioned aims and wishes to work together with Taiwan Foreign Affairs units, Taiwan Education Centers across the region and their associated Chinese Language Centers, Taiwan foreign alumni associations, Taiwan research seminars, Southeast Asian Taiwanese schools, Taiwanese business associations, and available local resources. Consequently, TECSID will emphasize the following areas: academic collaboration, Taiwan Education Fair, higher education forum for university rectors and presidents, academia-industry collaboration, Chinese Language teaching, and other similar endeavors.
